I just submitted my photos for the CPOY competition so I'm kinda excited!! I'm pretty sure I won't win but like still!! Just submitting my photos is enough to get me excited because who knows!! Chance fate destiny! It's just nice to compete and have my photographs really looked at by professionals. Here are two of the photographs I submitted to the feature category along with their descriptions:

Emilia Goldberg, 3, stares out her bedroom window at the freshly laid snow on January 24, 2016 in Cranston, Rhode Island. Faceless, the viewer captures the moment of curiosity and anticipation waiting to explore the unknown.

Robert Mahoney gives water to his bulldog, Teddy, out of a water bottle on a hot August morning in Washington DC. Even though a portable water bowl lays a foot apart from Teddy, he chooses to drink out of a water bottle giving some illusion that he is human.

I've also been looking into more photography competitions and I found two. They are the Sony World Photography and Color Photo Contest. Both of them seem easier to win than the CPOY and the POYi so I'll try them out. For one of the competitions, you can win a trip to Iceland to see the Northern Lights and if I won that, I think I would die of happiness. I've always wanted to visit the Northern Lights and it's a great chance to take kick ass photos.

Today, I am taking a plane to visit my sister in DC (I still have to pack yikes). But there, I am dying my hair tips a weird color (I'm thinking pastel pink but who really knows until the moment of) and taking great photographs. We plan on going to the National Arboretum, which is a great place to take photos. It is literally a hidden treasure in DC but the weather is suppose to be horrible so I don't know if we'll make it but I hope so!

There is also suppose to be a black moon tonight. I've looked up on google what a black moon looks like and I'm still not positively sure what it is but I think it's the second occurrence in one month of a new moon. So it won't be that exciting cause the sky will be pitch black like any other new moon sky but at least I'll have great photos of the stars cause no light pollution.
